What is covered under the Greener Homes Grant?
Option 1 – $6,500 on qualifying Air Source Heat Pump and Furnace/Air Handler Combinations

If you need to replace your Air Conditioner only, this is a great opportunity to replace it with a Heat Pump,( Heat Pumps are Air Conditioners with the extra ability to provide supplemental heat )
Benefits of this option:
- Higher SEER Values with heat pump vs air conditioners ( Energy savings )
- Turn your heat pump into stage 1 heating and your furnace into stage 2 heating
If you need to replace your Air Conditioner and your Furnace, this is a great opportunity to replace it with a heat pump and matching air handler .

- Your heat pump and air handler will be your main source of heating and cooling, which will remove dependence on natural gas/propane or heating oil furnaces
Option 2 – $3,250-$5,250 on qualifying Ductless Heat Pumps (min 2 heads)
If you don’t have ductwork in your home this is a great opportunity to add Air Conditioning and supplemental Heat to your home
Benefits of this option:
1 – Add supplemental heat to your house, which will save you in energy cost if your main source of heat is electric baseboards 2 – The ability to add Heating/Cooling to areas of your house that currently does not have adequate Heating/Cooling
Option 3 – $1300 on qualifying Heat Pump Water Heaters
If you need to replace your hot water heater or get rid of the rental, this is a great opportunity to replace it with a Heat Pump Water Heater

What are the Eligibility Requirements for the Canada Greener Homes Grant?
In Ontario, one homeowner per home can prove home ownership and that the property is your primary residence.
The following property types are eligible for the Canada Greener Homes Grant:
Single and semi-detached houses
- Row housing
- Townhomes
- All-season cottages
- Mobile homes on a permanent foundation
- Permanently-moored floating homes
- Mixed use buildings (residential portion only)
